Imagine stepping into a classroom where little explorers can “hike” through soft green paths, gather under a giant wooden tree for storytime, and play with animal-themed furniture that sparks their love for nature. That’s exactly what we created with this custom forest-themed preschool classroom—tailored for our Mexican client, built for 30 curious kids aged 3–5, and crafted to fit perfectly in 60 square meters.
Designed with the needs of Mexican preschools in mind, this space balances play, safety, and practicality. At its heart stands a whimsical wooden tree structure, with bright green leaves and a soft circular reading nook at its base—inviting kids to sit, read, or just daydream like they’re under a real forest canopy. The tree’s sturdy, rounded design is built with kid-safe edges, and the soft green padding ensures no ouchies during play.
Every corner of the room leans into the forest theme, while keeping things functional for busy 3–5-year-olds:
- Animal-inspired furniture: A giraffe themed bookshelf with cubby storage adds playful charm, while a zebra shaped book rack turns reading time into a safari adventure.
- Different function zones: Study area, reading zone, mini stage and role play corner, the classroom has multiple functional zones for children to learn and play.
- Nature-themed play areas: A pretend-play kitchen lets kids “cook” forest-inspired meals, while green cloud-shaped floor decals and padded platforms turn the classroom into a winding forest path for imaginative play.
- Low-maintenance, kid-safe materials: Every piece is finished with non-toxic, easy-to-clean coatings, so teachers can spend less time cleaning and more time connecting with kids.
The open 60sqm layout is designed to flow seamlessly for 30 kids, with clear paths between play, learning, and quiet zones. The soft green and natural wood tones create a calm, inviting atmosphere—perfect for overstimulated little ones to settle in, while the bright pops of color keep the space feeling fun and full of wonder. Whether kids are gathering under the tree for storytime, building block towers at the tables, or “exploring” the forest paths, every detail is crafted to inspire curiosity, creativity, and joy.
