-
PU binder (polyurethane glue)
-
SBR base granules (for base layer)
-
Trowel or screed
-
Mixing tools (mixer or hand tools)

Roller or compactor (optional for large areas)
-
Primer (optional for better adhesion)

Ensure the base surface is clean, dry, and level. It can be concrete, asphalt, or compacted crushed stone.
-
Repair cracks or holes if necessary.
-
Apply a primer if you're installing over concrete or asphalt for better bonding.
2. Base Layer (Optional but Recommended for Outdoor Areas)
-
Mix SBR rubber granules with PU binder (typically 20:1 ratio).
-
Pour and spread the mixture using a trowel to a thickness of 5-30 mm.
-
Let it cure for at least 24 hours.
3. Mixing EPDM Top Layer
-
Mix EPDM granules with PU binder (usually a 5–10% binder to granules ratio by weight).
-
Mix thoroughly until all granules are evenly coated.
4. Applying the EPDM Layer
-
Pour the mixture onto the cured base layer.
-
Spread evenly with a steel trowel, maintaining uniform thickness (usually 8–15 mm).
-
Use a soapy solution on the trowel to prevent sticking and achieve a smooth finish.
5. Edge Finishing
-
Use edge molds or steel rulers to define clean edges if not confined by borders.
-
Smooth edges before the surface begins to cure.
6. Curing
-
Allow the surface to fully cure for 24–48 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
-
Avoid water contact or heavy use during this time.

-
Sweep regularly to keep it clean.
-
Avoid harsh chemicals.
-
Recoat or patch damaged areas as needed.
