Tree Inspired Classroom Design
This classroom is designed for one daycare center in Canada. It covers 70 square meters, for 24 preschool kids, it is expected to be designed in the theme of oak tree, according to the requirements of the client. It is one of the five classrooms in this daycare centre.
The most notable item in this classroom is the large tree structure that covers one out standing pillar in the classroom, with tree leaves hanging from the ceiling. It covers the rectangular pillar, to protect children from getting hurt, and also it is a great interior decoration to the kids classroom, that offers a wow effect.
This preschool classroom contains the basic function areas the a classroom need: the teaching area, reading area, pretent play area, art and music area, activity play area, storage area, and also area for bed cots and teacher. With the teaching area in the center of the classroom, other areas shattered around, with cubbies and cabinets for storage and divider. Each area has a table inside, so children can sit and focus on their book reading, block play, role play activity or art works. The school bag cabinet and coat shoe cabinet is placed outside the classroom, to leave the maxmum classroom space for children.
The whole classroom has lots of elements of trees, other than the large wooden tree structure, there are also soft wall padding in shape of tree, tree bookshelf, classroom wall decorations of trees etc.
